Week 12: BEHOLD

One could chose from among many of George Inness' paintings to accompany the word BEHOLD. He's the artist that immediately came to my mind. In part because Inness is so very much American --despite the European influences on his work (take a look at the Barbizon School in 1850s and 60s France, painters like Corot and Daubigny).  Goes with this time of year...

Note on class schedule. Next week, November 17, will be our last regular meeting. No class during Thanksgiving week. But plan on Tuesday December 1--the week following Thanksgiving--for our Exhibition.
